Chris Mayfield
Project Manager, Existing Industry
Chris Mayfield represents Existing Industry within Alabama Power's Economic and Community Development department.
Chris focuses on managing growth opportunities for existing industries to create jobs and add prosperity to our communities. He works with local economic development organizations to ensure their community is prepared for future growth.
Prior to joining the Alabama Power Economic Development team, Chris was the Director of Existing Industry for the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce. His primary role was to serve as a liaison and advocate for local industries and manage expansion projects in Mobile County. His previous experience also includes fifteen years of business development within the Consumer Package Goods and Medical Software industries.
Chris graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelors in Marketing. He's a member of the Economic Development Association of Alabama and serves as a board member for several non-profit organizations in Mobile.
After being gone for twelve years, Chris and his family moved back to the Mobile area. Chris enjoys spending time with his family and participating in outdoor activities along the Gulf Coast.
