Philip Costa
GIS Project Specialist
Philip Costa joined Alabama Power's Economic and Community Development department in June 2022.
Previously, he worked on the Power Delivery Technology team with DistGIS, JETS and PD Maximo. He now leverages his experience and technical skill set to help companies expand in Alabama.
As part of the support team, Costa provides information derived from GIS tools and technologies to support growth-focused business units. He holds a bachelor's degree in geography with a minor in geographic information systems from the University of Alabama and has an FAA Part 107 small unmanned aircraft systems certificate.
In his free time, Costa enjoys spending time with his wife and son exploring the outdoors, fishing, hiking, canoeing and mountain biking.
