Aviation

Alabama is served by nine commercial airlines operating through six commercial airports (Birmingham, Mobile, Montgomery, Huntsville, Dothan, Florence-Muscle Shoals.) International flights are easily accessible via direct flights from major connecting cities. Alabama is located between two of the country's largest air freight centers - Memphis and Atlanta. Port of mobile

The Port of Mobile is the nation’s thirteenth largest based on tonnage, ahead of Savannah, Baltimore and Tampa. The facility has 41 berths, five miles (eight kilometers) of waterfront, a main channel depth of 45 feet (13.7 meters), and a cargo handling area consisting of 4 million square feet (1.2 million mP2P).  Click here to read more about the Port of Mobile.
