As part of the economic development team, Wiley works to both actively recruit companies to Alabama as well as to assist existing industries with their expansion efforts. In this role, Wiley also partners with communities on the development of new sites.
Wiley’s background includes more than 24 years of Governmental, Legal, Real Estate and Economic Development experience. While in college, his work experience included working in the Alabama Governor's Office. After graduating law school, he began a career with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. where he served as Director of Distribution Center Real Estate, Economic and Community Development and State Governmental Affairs. At Wal-Mart, he was responsible for the nationwide real estate development of approximately 100 million square feet of new distribution center space which resulted in the creation of over 100,000 jobs and billions of dollars in new investment.
Lott, a Pike County native, received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Troy University and a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Arkansas. He is active in a number of state and global Real Estate and Economic Development Organizations.
