Wiley Lott


As part of the economic development team, Wiley Lott works to actively recruit companies to Alabama and  assist existing industries with expansion efforts. Lott also partners with communities on the development of new industrial sites.

Lott’s background includes more than 24 years of governmental, legal, real estate and economic development experience. While in college, he worked in the Alabama Governor's Office. After graduating law school, he began a career with Wal-Mart Stores, where he served as director of Distribution Center Real Estate, Economic and Community Development and State Governmental Affairs. At Wal-Mart, he was responsible for the nationwide real estate development of about 100 million square feet of new distribution center space, which resulted in the creation of more than 100,000 jobs and billions of dollars in new investment.

Lott, a Pike County native, has a bachelor’s degree from Troy University and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas. He is active in a number of state and global real estate and economic development organizations.
