Ken Novak

Ken Novak was named Vice President of Economic & Community Development in 2010.  Prior to becoming vice president, Novak was a senior economic development project manager responsible for the active recruitment of companies to Alabama and assisting existing industries with their expansion efforts. He has more than 19 years of economic development experience and 29 years in various positions with Alabama Power. He has worked with companies across industry sectors including automotive, plastics, metal fabrication, steel, chemical, distribution and food processing.

Novak received his bachelor’s  degree in industrial engineering from the University of Alabama and master of business administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

He is an active member with the Economic Development Association of Alabama, 1st vice president and board member, and past-president of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, Birmingham Chapter.
