Greg Barker

Greg Barker is Vice President of economic and community development for Alabama Power. His primary responsibility is to provide direction for Alabama Power's economic and community development initiatives.

Greg has more than 20 years of economic development experience at the state, regional and local level in two states. He has worked on a variety of successful economic development projects in several business sectors, including: automotive, aerospace, distribution, construction products, plastics, metal fabrication, regional operation centers and corporate headquarters.

He is a past-board member and president of the Economic Development Association of Alabama, and is a member of the Southern Economic Development Council and the International Economic Development Council. He has also served as a board member for the Alabama World Trade Association and the United Way of East Alabama.

He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communications from Mississippi State University.
